Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 27, 2026
The Owner’s Almanac (“we,” “us”) publishes a daily email and website at theownersalmanac.com. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect, why, and what your choices are. The short version: we collect your email address to send you the forecast you asked for, we use basic analytics to understand what’s useful, and we never sell your information to anyone.
What We Collect
Information you give us: when you subscribe, your email address and any details you choose to share (such as the kind of business you own, or anything you write when you reply to an email). When you join a waitlist or purchase a paid product, your name and payment details are processed by our payment and email platforms; we never see or store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, we receive standard technical data when you visit — browser type, device, pages viewed, approximate region, and referring site — through cookies and analytics tools. This helps us understand which forecasts and guides are actually useful.
How We Use It
We use your information to deliver the daily email and any products you’ve signed up for, to answer your replies, to understand what content serves readers best, and to keep the site secure. If you told us what kind of business you own, we may use that to make what we send you more relevant. We do not sell or rent subscriber information, and we don’t share it with third parties except the service providers below who help us operate.
Our email list and forms are operated through Kartra, which stores subscriber data on our behalf. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately — no hoops, no “are you sure” gauntlet. You can also unsubscribe by replying and asking; a human reads those.
Cookies & Analytics
The site uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics (such as Google Analytics) to measure visits in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of you.
Affiliate Links
Some articles include affiliate links to tools we recommend. If you click one, the tool’s company may set a cookie so that, if you later sign up, the Almanac earns a commission at no extra cost to you. Every affiliate link is disclosed where it appears, and our standing rule is that the recommendation always comes first — advice never bends to a payout.
Third-Party Content
Pages may embed content from other platforms (for example, videos or social posts). Those platforms may collect data as if you had visited them directly; their own privacy policies apply to what they collect.
Your Rights & Choices
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK and California), these may be legal rights; we honor them for everyone regardless. To make any request, reply to any Almanac email or use the contact details on our About page, and we’ll take care of it promptly.
Data Retention & Security
We keep subscriber information for as long as you’re subscribed, and delete it when you leave or ask. We use reputable providers, HTTPS, and sensible access controls; no online service can promise perfect security, but we treat your information the way we’d want ours treated.
Children
The Almanac is written for business owners and isn’t directed to children under 13; we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, say so in the daily email. Questions about any of it: reply to any email we send. A human reads those too.
